Room To Breathe is not just an exhibition—it is a collective exhale, a testament to the power of art to heal, protest, and imagine new possibilities.  In a world that often feels overwhelming, these works remind us that expression itself is a radical act of hope.

At the heart of the show are the abstract paintings of Elaina Bates-Egan, whose charged compositions embody a dynamic interplay of chaos and clarity, mirroring the tensions and transformations of our time. The neighboring works of 12 local artists creating in collage and printmaking highlight how these mediums serve as powerful tools of political and social resistance, layering imagery and text to challenge, critique, and reimagine the world around us. Through vibrant color, bold forms, and deeply personal mark-making, these artists transform emotion into action, offering space for reflection, resilience, and renewal. Room To Breathe pulls together the voices of artists who use their creative practice to process the great and small shifts we experience in our world everyday. Each artist here serves as a reminder that we can all have a voice.
