Open Call Exhibition

ACM invites artists to submit works for our upcoming gallery exhibition starting in November 2026, titled The Art of Aging.

Focusing on the transitions of life and the beauty of growth, this exhibition will contend with concepts of time, memory, weathering, and renewal. Aging as marks that accumulate—how do moments change you indefinitely and compound over a lifetime?

Baby books, elementary school graduations, college acceptances, your first job, a house to have a family… What does it mean to get older when there’s still a lot of life to live? And then, how do we deal with the inevitability of the disability and lack of independence that comes with aging? Where are the points of intersectionality that afford some with the privilege of aging gracefully while others cannot?

We encourage artists to respond in whatever way feels compelling and write an artist statement that clues us in on how the theme resonates.
