Kentucky native CD Collins was selected as Malden’s Inaugural Poet Laureate in 2023. Collins is the author of Blue Land, a collection of short stories, a poetry collection, and Afterheat, a novel. She has published short fiction in numerous literary magazines, including StoryQuarterly, Salamander, Imagine, and The Pennsylvania Review. Her first album, Kentucky Stories, won Best Spoken-Word album at the Boston Poetry Awards. More information at www.cdcollins.com.
